Job summary

Colorado Mountain College-Glenwood Springs invites applications for a Lab Coordinator – Healthcare Simulation to coordinate the clinical simulation lab for nursing and allied health programs. You will oversee equipment, supplies, and faculty/student support, and partner with the Dean of Nursing to evaluate operations and plan for future needs.

Requirements include an Associate degree in nursing or related field, CPR for Healthcare Provider, and 1+ year in a teaching or simulation lab.

Qualifications

• Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position.
• Current CPR Certification as a Healthcare Provider required.
• One or more years of experience in a teaching or simulation laboratory in an academic or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge and expertise in simulation experiences in a nursing lab environment and ability to create/evaluate simulation experiences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update lab policies and procedures in collaboration with faculty and staff.
• Coordinate procurement and maintenance of supply inventory for labs and simulations.
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Ensure lab cleanliness, organization, and readiness for use.
• Facilitate scheduling of simulation use by programs and partners.
• Prepare lab for specific use-cases including equipment setup and patient simulators as directed by faculty.
• Operate patient simulators and related equipment during simulations.
• Support INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation Operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
