Job summary

Colorado Mountain College is seeking a Lab Coordinator for Healthcare Simulation to professionally coordinate the clinical simulation laboratory for nursing and allied health programs. The role includes managing lab operations, equipment, supplies, and faculty and student support, collaborating with the Dean to evaluate effectiveness and plan for future needs.

The position requires an associate degree in nursing or healthcare related field, CPR certification, and teaching or simulation

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or healthcare field required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Current CPR Certification for Healthcare Provider required.
• One or more years of teaching or simulation lab experience preferred.
• Experience with simulation for nursing/allied health students preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update lab policies and procedures with faculty and staff.
• Coordinate procurement and maintenance of supply inventory.
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Schedule simulations for programs and partners.
• Prepare labs for specific use-cases with patient simulators and equipment.
• Operate patient simulators during faculty-led sessions.
• Assist in evaluating equipment functionality and costs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Lead or supervise other staff when needed.
• Travel, evenings or weekends may be required.
