Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care unit within the Teaching Innovation Unit. You will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in innovation-focused nursing practice while advancing professional standards.

The role emphasizes leadership in quality improvement, education, and utilization of new technologies within a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have active or pending Massachusetts RN license or the ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in some units.
• Degree in nursing: Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN encouraged to complete within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
