Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 5W Teaching and Innovation Unit in a Critical Care setting. The role offers a 36-hour schedule with day/night shifts and every third weekend, supporting a patient-centered care model and a mission-driven hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• ACLS certification required in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects.
