Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment; Master’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of middle school curriculum and concepts; all subject matters taught.
• Knowledge of data information systems and data analysis; ability to form action plans.
• Ability to use computer networks and software applications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers middle school curriculum aligned with district goals and objectives.
• Creates a safe, conducive classroom for individualized and small group instruction; supports student learning.
• Plans lessons and instructional materials to optimize time and learning experiences.
• Assesses student learning; adapts instruction for individual needs, including students with special needs.
• Keeps accurate records of progress, attendance, and grades; communicates with parents and administration.
