Job summary

Southampton Union Free School District is seeking a qualified 6th Grade Math Leave Replacement Teacher at Southampton Intermediate School to provide engaging, student-centered mathematics instruction for 6th graders.

The assignment runs from October 5, 2026 to November 30, 2026, with compensation as per STA Contract, and requires appropriate elementary certification with mathematics expertise or a Math 7–12 certification with Grades 5–6 extension.

Qualifications

• Appropriate Elementary Certification with expertise in mathematics or Mathematics 7–12 Certification with Grades 5–6 Extension.
• Experience developing engaging, student-centered mathematics lessons.
• Familiarity with Ready Math or willingness to be trained in the program prior to beginning the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, student-centered mathematics instruction for 6th grade students.
• Deliver instruction aligned with the 6th grade mathematics curriculum.
• Utilize Ready Math and participate in training for the program prior to the start of the assignment.
• Perform other instructional responsibilities associated with the classroom assignment.
