Job summary

Proskauer Rose LLP in New York seeks an Innovation & Transformation Specialist (Practice Engagement) to join its growing team. You will work with lawyers to understand how they deliver legal services and identify opportunities to improve through legal technology, process change, and operational excellence.

The role focuses on shaping demand, driving adoption of new tools, supporting pilots, and contributing to client-facing materials as the firm transforms how it delivers legal services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a law firm, professional services environment, or client services supporting lawyers or knowledge workers.
• Familiarity with the legal practice environment, exposure to funds, corporate, or transactional practice, and an interest in how legal services are delivered.
• Self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, matrixed function with strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the practice-facing work of Innovation & Transformation and surface opportunities across legal technology (including generative AI, document automation, and collaboration platforms), process improvement, and operational excellence.
• Help shape demand by framing lawyer ideas, pain points, and requests into defined opportunities for triage and routing.
• Contribute to legal service transformation initiatives by redesigning workflows, matter delivery models, and ways of working with lawyers and colleagues.
• Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working through training, 1:1 support, embedding into matter workflows, and supporting lawyers through behavioral change.
• Support pilots, including user recruitment, stakeholder communication, on-the-ground engagement, and feedback capture.
• Contribute to the firm's approach to responsible use of AI in legal practice by supporting rollout, adoption, and day-to-day enablement with lawyers.
• Support the practice-facing component of client engagement, contributing to client-facing materials, showcases, and conversations reflecting the firm's innovation and transformation work.
• Capture lawyer feedback, adoption signals, and improvement opportunities to inform measurement and product lifecycle work.
