Job summary

Suominen Corporation is seeking a dynamic Manager, Innovation & Technology to lead R&D activities, maintain mature technology, and develop new products and know-how. You will support research, build competencies, and drive components, systems, and processes across diverse teams.

Qualifications

Degree(s) in nonwovens, chemistry, chemical engineering, fiber & polymer science, pulp and paper, or textile engineering.
Experience in spunlace, pulp and paper, nonwovens or related industries.
Ability to interact with all organizational levels and cultures.
Strong communication, listening and collaboration skills.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety, quality practices, and organizational policies across tasks.
Manage the product line project portfolio and resource prioritization.
Align project objectives with the business strategic plan.
Help establish department objectives and strategic plans.
Ensure on-time and on-budget product development.
Identify new or improved products to meet customer needs and differentiate from competitors.
Provide technical expertise to customers.
Conduct patent searches and support patent development when needed.
Engage with management to report results; travel to plants as needed.
