CVS Health invites applications for the Innovation & Technology Software Engineering: Platform & Applications Internship. This 10.5-week, full-time hybrid internship runs May 24, 2027 to August 4, 2027 with offices in Hartford, CT; Dallas, TX; Scottsdale, AZ; Woonsocket, RI and remote work on other days.

As an intern, you will design, build, test, and deploy software solutions that span web/mobile features, APIs, cloud platforms, and microservices.

• Major/minor related to the position (CS, software engineering, IT, information systems).
• Strong communication and problem solving are required.

Position Summary

The Innovation & Technology Software Engineering: Platform & Applications Internship is a 10.5-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 24th, 2027, and concludes on August 4th, 2027. This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the following office locations: Hartford, CT Dallas, TX Scottsdale, AZ Woonsocket, RI The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. CVS Health follows a hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that need to move over 50 miles. As a CVS Health Corporate intern, you will participate in:

Your Innovation & Technology internship experience will also include:

• Leadership Insight Series, featuring leader spotlights and interactive Q&A sessions

• Additional learning experiences focused on topics such as impactful presentations and storytelling, emerging technology, and AI tools

The hourly rate is $43.00-$47.30/hr with 40 hours/week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Wage is dependent on final office location and team assignment. Additionally, our corporate interns have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a future role with CVS Health.

Sponsorship Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

• Have internship, work, or project experience in related field of Healthcare Technology
• Show strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exhibit an analytical and growth mindset
• Have project management experience
• Have an interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation
• Have experience with some of the following: Application, web/mobile, API, integration and platform development Java, Python, JavaScript, React/Angular, Typescript, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Git, CI/CD, microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), C++, Kotlin (Android), Swift (iOS) AI & Automation: Hands‑on experience with, or strong interest in, AI, automation, generative AI, and low‑code/no‑code tools, with a desire to apply emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, business insights, and user experiences.

Education

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $43.00 - $47.30
