Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Innovation Services Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in St. Louis, MO. You will support the innovation team with technical assistance, workflow documentation, and learning new technologies across firm initiatives.

You will shadow senior specialists, assist with data collection and reporting, research emerging technologies, and help document processes to enable cross-functional collaboration. This paid internship includes mentoring and a clear path to future opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Completed at least 2 years toward a BS degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Strong interest in innovation and technology.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

IMEG is hiring an Innovation Services Intern in St. Louis, Missouri to support the innovation team by providing technical assistance, documenting workflows, and actively learning new technologies that support the firm’s strategic projects. Over 10-12 weeks, you will gain hands‑on experience while supporting innovation project initiatives in multiple areas of specialty.

You will shadow senior specialists and contribute to early‑stage innovation tasks, including research, data collection, reporting, troubleshooting, and process documentation. This role also supports knowledge sharing and cross‑functional collaboration across the firm.

What You’ll Bring

Required

Education

  • Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent required

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong interest in innovation
  • Working knowledge of data principles, tools, and frameworks
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Preferred

  • Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

Salary

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
