Job summary

IMEG Corp. is offering a 10-12 week summer internship in St. Louis, MO. The role focuses on assisting with mechanical system design, researching equipment, and maintaining project documentation. Interns will collaborate across teams and participate in client communications under supervision.

Candidates should have completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Mechanical Engineering, with internship experience preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD or BIM and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

  • Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Prior internship in building design consulting preferred.
  • Strong interest in design consulting.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and/or BIM software.
  • Clear oral and written communication with individuals or groups.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical system design according to code and company standards.
  • Research commercially available equipment and supporting resources.
  • Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
  • Coordinate design activities and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
  • Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project progress.
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
  • Help prepare and issue addendum information.
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and support other services required by the contract services agreement.
