Job summary

Selective Insurance Company of America seeks a Senior Innovation Leader to drive the end-to-end innovation lifecycle across InsurTech initiatives. You will partner with Strategy and external VC relationships to source opportunities, validate concepts with clients, and scale successful pilots into runnable programs.

You will mentor teams, communicate program status across the enterprise, and ensure alignment with regulatory and business requirements, while advancing the company’s innovation

Qualifications

• College degree in business, technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, project management and planning skills.
• 8+ years related work experience in innovation.
• Experience in a property/casualty insurance environment preferred.
• 2+ years experience in a tech-heavy digital product company preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align with strategic research and insights; provide feedback to inform concepts in the lifecycle.
• Lead InsurTech-focused VC partnerships; evaluate and present relationships to business partners.
• Direct organic and inorganic innovation activities with a transparent pipeline.
• Lead collaboration to identify innovative use cases; run pilots/POCs and scale viable concepts.
• Communicate program status; align with Enterprise PMO and Product Model.
