BCG Attorney Search is looking for an Innovation Counsel in Chicago, IL, to join their Practice Innovation team. This position involves advancing legal technology initiatives, collaboratively identifying best practices and improving workflows for technology adoption.

The ideal candidate has over 4 years of experience in legal practice or technology adoption and must have an active bar membership. The role offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with generous vacation time.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of applicable experience in legal practice or technology adoption.
• Active bar membership or registered in-house counsel status.
• Experience in cross-functional projects involving legal technology teams.
• Understanding of large law firm financial and work allocation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide attorney-level input on legal technology adoption initiatives.
• Design and prepare playbooks for best practices in innovation technologies.
• Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings.
• Collaborate with leadership on initiative prioritization processes.
• Develop objectives and success metrics for technology adoption initiatives.
• Analyze practice group workflows to identify improvement areas.
• Drive legal technology pilots and continuous improvements.
• Assist change management teams in developing communication campaigns.
• Maintain practice group-specific resources and automate efforts.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and firm applications

Strong presentation and communication skills

Ability to analyze and solve legal service delivery problems

Experience with technology usage data and metrics

Ability to build and grow business relationships

Education

Juris Doctorate or non-US equivalent
