Responsibilities

Advise lawyers, matter teams, clients, and practice groups in regulatory law.
Align innovative legal technologies and practice methods with legal workflows.
Apply generative AI, data and analytics, productivity tools, and legal technology to optimize value, insights, efficiency, and productivity.
Serve as a connection point between lawyers, clients, and the Technology Department.
Partner with regulatory practice groups to develop strategies for improving legal-service delivery.
Apply tailored technology solutions to specific matters.
Replicate successful innovation practices across teams and matters.
Configure legal technologies and platforms, including templates and custom workflows.
Identify opportunities to enhance technology solutions and partner on related investments and projects.
Liaise with clients on AI projects, including onboarding client teams and developing shared workflows.
Respond to client inquiries about legal-tech functionality, security, and ethical use.
Support targeted outreach to increase lawyer awareness and engagement with technology.
Monitor legal-industry trends and emerging technologies and provide updates and analysis to firm management and practice-group leadership.
Communicate with third-party vendors and build relationships with industry organizations and innovation thought leaders.

Requirements

A JD or equivalent
Admission to the relevant state bar
Minimum of two years of experience as a practicing lawyer in a law firm or in a legal operations role
Regulatory experience
Experience applying innovative technology strategically in the regulatory practice of law
Proficiency with technology, legal technology, and artificial intelligence
Experience participating in strategic legal technology projects, particularly evaluating and implementing legal tech solutions, strongly preferred
Knowledge of the lifecycle of a regulatory legal matter strongly preferred
Awareness of or light experience with techniques aimed at increasing adoption of legal tech tools highly desirable
Experience in business analysis, solution design, consulting and/or client-facing roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Ability to engage in design thinking and implement projects end-to-end
Ability to communicate technical concepts in clear, non-technical language
Strong customer service and problem-solving mindset
Ability to work effectively in diverse environments, under pressure, and with shifting deadlines
Pragmatic, self-motivated, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
Self-starter with high initiative
