Job summary

Yavapai County Sheriff's Office seeks an Inmate Release Coordinator to guide inmates from incarceration back to the community. You will review admissions to identify substance use or mental health needs and arrange treatment, benefits access, peer support, and housing upon release.

You will work with detention staff and community providers to develop linkages, coordinate releases, and advocate for detainees’ continuing care and successful community reentry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years' experience in substance abuse/mental health context, preferably in detention.
• Valid Arizona driver's license; background investigation including polygraph, psychological and fitness tests.

Responsibilities

• Review inmate admissions to identify substance use/mental health needs and arrange service linkage.
• Coordinate with Detention personnel on coordinated release efforts.
• Advocate for inmates and connect them to treatment options and transitional services.
• Develop community linkages with providers to support release planning and continuity of care.
