West Virginia is seeking a Corrections Program Specialist focused on Inmate Records at Pruntytown Correctional Center and Jail. This supervisory role oversees the transfer of legal files, detainers, and release eligibility checks, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local directives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent paid professional experience in corrections, probation/parole, law enforcement, social work or related fields.
• Graduate coursework may substitute for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours for every one (1) year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transfer of legal files and detainers in inmate records.
• Update Offender Information System (OIS) with pertinent information and ensure follow-through.
• Supervise staff: one Office Operations Associate and one Office Operations Assistant.
• Work an 8-hour mandatory security shift as needed.
