Job summary

CoreCivic in Pahrump, NV, is seeking a Mental Health Coordinator (PRN) to plan and provide non-medical clinical mental health services for inmates in the facility.

The successful candidate will conduct screenings, develop and modify treatment plans, document care in health records, and maintain confidentiality while applying counseling theory and crisis intervention skills to support the inmate population.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or related clinical area.
• Five years of clinical experience including two years in a comparable role.
• State license or certification as required.
• Driver's license preferred unless restricted by contract or law.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments from records and interviews.
• Develop, implement and modify individual treatment plans.
• Document treatment and evaluation activities in health records.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
• Apply counseling theory and techniques to caseload; provide crisis interventions.
