Job summary

CoreCivic seeks a Mental Health Coordinator to plan and provide non-medical clinical mental health services in a correctional facility. You will perform mental health screenings, develop treatment plans, document progress, and intervene in crises while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements include a Master's degree in a related field, 5 years of clinical experience (2 in a similar role), and licensure such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT. A driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
• Five years of clinical experience, including two in a comparable role.
• Must have state licensure/certification: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
• Valid driver's license preferred unless contract requires otherwise.
• Minimum age 21.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments of inmates.
• Develop, implement and modify individual treatment plans.
• Document treatment and evaluation in health care records.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information.
• Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions.
• Demonstrates knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques with caseload.
