Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking Psychologists (PRN) to provide high-quality psychological services in an institutional setting. The role coordinates and directs activities of personnel providing psychological services to inmates/residents, including screenings, assessments and treatment planning.

This position works up to 30 hours per week and offers an $85.00 per hour rate, with a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will hold a Doctoral degree in Psychology, be licensed to practice in

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology is required.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the practicing state.
• Two years of clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age of 18.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Develop and modify individual treatment plans based on needs and functioning.
• Make rounds to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of counseling theory and techniques for caseloads.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions.
• Consult with psychiatry and others to understand reasons for changes in behavior and mental health conditions.
