Job summary

HAN Staff seeks a Mental Health Coordinator to plan and provide non‑medical clinical mental health services in a facility. The candidate will perform all functions at a pace and level consistent with job performance requirements.

Responsibilities include conducting screenings, developing and adjusting treatment plans, documenting care, maintaining confidentiality, applying counseling theory, and delivering crisis interventions as needed for inmates.

Qualifications

• Must live 70+ miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Develop, implement and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
• Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
• Demonstrate knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques through treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions to address inmates' needs.
