Job summary

La Plata County in Durango, CO is seeking a Booking Specialist to perform data entry, inmate processing, records management and customer service in the jail booking area.

You will handle data entry, reports, and communications with inmates and the public, assist in training new staff, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of records.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years related experience; NCIC/CCIC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into computer systems and databases and generate reports.
• Process and release inmates while maintaining accuracy of tracked information.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all records and work area.
