Coast Guard license with appropriate endorsements and the ability to work a 21/21 or 14/7 rotation, performing 12-hour shifts. Candidates should demonstrate leadership, strict safety practices, and proficiency with vessel logs, reporting, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Possess a Merchant Mariner Credential issued by the U.S. Coast Guard for towing vessels with required endorsements.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and valid TWIC.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have familiarity with navigation software and vessel operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate inland vessels safely and efficiently while transporting barges.
• Navigate and pilot vessels while maintaining seaworthiness and crew safety.
• Maintain logs and reports, comply with COI and CBC/IMT policies.
