Job summary

Genesis Energy, L.P. is seeking a Trip Pilot for marine operations. The role focuses on the safe navigation and piloting of vessels and their tows, ensuring seaworthiness, crew safety, and environmental protection while maintaining charterer relations.

The successful candidate will supervise deck officers and crew, manage bridge operations, and perform related administrative tasks to support efficient vessel performance under U.S. regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a U.S. Merchant Mariner’s document and STCW certification.
• Must have a U.S. Coast Guard license for the vessel type/tonnage/route.
• FCC Marine Radio Operators Permit required.
• English reading/writing; Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Safe piloting, navigation and maintenance of the vessel in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Bridge management and service delivery as directed by the Master/Relief Master.
• Set and stand bridge and helm watches in rotation with other deck officers.
• Direct and supervise the deck crew in the execution of their duties.
• Maintain courteous and professional relationships with charterers and charterer representatives.
• Complete bridge management and human resource administrative tasks.
