Job summary

Genesis Marine is seeking a Trip Pilot to oversee the safe operation of the vessel and its tow, including navigation, seaworthiness and crew safety. Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, render, understand and react to English commands.
• Spanish language ability preferred but not required.
• USCG license appropriate to vessel type and tonnage is required.
• STCW training and certification booklet as required by law.
• Merchant Mariner’s document and FCC Radio Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Safe piloting and navigation of the vessel and tow, ensuring seaworthiness and crew safety.
• Oversee bridge management, watchstanding and deck crew supervision.
• Maintain environmental protection and cargo safety in all operations.
• Manage charterer relations and adherence to company procedures.
• Complete bridge administration and HR-related tasks as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
