Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive in Inland Marine to partner with agents and brokers, driving new and renewal business. You will assess risk, negotiate terms, and build strong internal and external relationships to support profitability and growth.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of inland marine underwriting experience, a Bachelor’s degree, CPCU designation, and strong communication and negotiation skills to succeed in a dynamic, travel-heavy role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 3–5 years of inland marine underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of inland marine products and the regulatory environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• CPCU designation is preferred.
• Two years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and region/group sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
