Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Missouri is seeking an Account Executive for Inland Marine to grow and protect a defined book of business. You will partner with agents and brokers to tailor coverage, assess risk, and negotiate terms that align with Travelers' risk appetite.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of inland marine underwriting experience, a Bachelor's degree, and a CPCU designation. You will travel to meet partners, develop sales plans, and contribute to profitability through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years underwriting experience in inland marine.
• Knowledge of inland marine products and regulatory environment.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making.
• Effective negotiation with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of a book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Maintain relationships with external partners; meet agents/brokers in person.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with consultative selling.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and regional plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
