Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive for Inland Marine to partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business. You will assess risk, negotiate terms, and build profitable relationships across the channel while traveling to meet with partners to drive growth.

The role requires 3–5 years in inland marine underwriting, strong communication skills, and a CPCU designation. Competitive base salary is offered with comprehensive benefits and incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years underwriting experience in inland marine.
• Knowledge of inland marine products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making aligned with risk appetite.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with agents/brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of inland marine business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers in person to market and sell Travelers products and secure new and retained accounts.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and market coverage as directed.
