Job summary

Questpro Consultants LLC represents a client, a leading A-rated commercial insurer, recruiting a Senior Vice President to lead the national Inland Marine unit from Georgia. You will own the unit’s strategy, financial plan and underwriting results, building a high-performing team across regional offices.

You will drive profitability, manage mix and catastrophe exposures, and collaborate with wholesale and retail producers to grow submissions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of inland marine underwriting experience
• Strong knowledge across inland marine lines and products
• Experience leading underwriting teams across multiple offices
• Proven track record of managing profitability and portfolio performance

Responsibilities

• Lead the unit’s annual financial plan and stretch goals
• Grow premium and underwriting profit with profitability as the priority
• Recruit, develop and retain top underwriting talent across regions
• Manage business mix, new business and renewal retention within risk tolerances
• Strengthen relationships with wholesale and retail producers to increase submissions
• Collaborate with Corporate Underwriting, Actuarial and Claims on strategy and pricing
• Run management meetings and track KPIs such as quote activity and loss ratios
• Review and approve complex risks
• Oversee underwriting guidelines and reinsurance terms
• Present unit results to reinsurers during treaty renewals
• Manage underwriting resources and operating expenses
