Job summary

Giro Pack, Inc. in Vidalia, GA is seeking a Printing Assistant to support production operations in a fast-paced fruit/vegetable packaging facility. The role involves assisting press operators, handling inks, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while meeting daily quality and production goals.

Candidates should be able to handle physical tasks, have good math skills, and be flexible with shifts. This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits including 401(k) matching and health

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good math and measurement skills.
• Familiarity with printers and ink systems preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Experience in warehouse work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supply presses with the required inks and solvents.
• Transfer inks from totes to operative buckets.
• Complete required ink production forms.
• Move scrap/defective material to proper location and dispose of waste product.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow inspection procedures.
• Use proper PPE when necessary.
• Ensure ink is properly stored and labeled.
• Follow planning order and work priorities.
• Clean machines according to procedures.
• Report all safety/equipment concerns to manager immediately.
• Conduct other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
