Job summary

Giro Pack, Inc. in Vidalia, GA is seeking a Laminator Operator to support production operations. The role includes operating lamination machines, maintaining safety, and ensuring efficiency on a busy packaging line.

Training runs Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, then 2nd or 3rd shift options are available. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, completing production forms, and reporting issues to supervision.

Responsibilities

Job description

Giro Pack, Inc. is looking for a Laminator Operator to support production operations at our Vidalia, GA. location. Currently the selected candidate will be trained Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, once training is completed the candidate will work 2nd shift, Monday - Friday (2:00pm -10pm) or 3rd Shift, Monday - Friday (10pm - 6am).

The Laminator Operator plays an integral part in the manufacturing of products within the fruit/vegetable packaging industry and is responsible for the safe/efficient operation of the lamination machines.

Laminator Operator job duties include:

• Ensuring lamination machines are operated correctly and report any shortcomings to the supervisor/maintenance in a timely manner
• Complete required production forms
• Maintain/Lube production machinery as needed
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow inspection procedures
• Change and/or replace film bobbins
• Verify stability of material as well as proper glue application
• Follow planning order and work priorities
• Clean machines according to procedures
• Report SAP or IT shortcomings immediately
• Conduct other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements and skills:

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Very good vision and ability to handle intricate, detail oriented work
• Plastics Injection Molding/Warehouse experience is an asset, but not necessary
• Must be able/willing to work a flexible schedule
