Job summary

Ball Corporation seeks a results-driven engineer to lead ink and graphic innovation for beverage packaging. You will apply DoE, DoE, FMEA, and statistics to optimize processes, collaborate with global teams, and guide technical decisions.

You will identify emerging technologies, manage suppliers, and drive data-driven outcomes that enhance performance, manufacturability, and customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, polymer science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in product, process or material development in manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical projects and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead ink and graphic innovation projects for beverage packaging, delivering robust solutions.
• Develop project charters, test plans, timelines, resources, and cost estimates; present data-driven recommendations.
• Apply DoE, statistics, and FMEA to drive solution development and risk mitigation.
• Dissect product and process challenges with DoE and engineering tools to enable reliable decisions.
• Establish CTQ parameters and align with performance, manufacturability, and customer needs.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to drive technical alignment and timely decisions.
• Build supplier networks and external partnerships to support development and testing.
• Use financial models to compare solution scenarios and support business choices.
• Conduct technology scouting to shape long-term capability development.
