Job summary

WorkCare is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide rapid first aid, on-site medical care, and injury prevention services. The role collaborates with physicians and WorkCare leadership to manage clinical interventions and wellness programs.

Responsibilities include ergonomic assessments, patient education, and coordination with the CMD for care escalation while maintaining data and adherence to clinic protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field required.
• Must hold CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health, or ergonomic experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid first aid and medical care for employees as needed, including emergencies when clinic is open.
• Coordinate care with WorkCare’s Injury Management Program and utilize physician escalation services.
• Provide episodic care for minor medical issues and medical consultation per guidelines.
• Support injury prevention through ergonomics demonstrations and education.
• Cooperate with CMD and policies to adjust interventions for safety and progress.
• Maintain communication with CMD and supervisor regarding clinic issues and client requests.
• Assist with health promotion activities and wellness initiatives.
