Job summary

Amcor in Morgantown, WV is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician to monitor and operate multiple molding machines. You will startup/shutdown equipment, change molds, and troubleshoot to meet quality standards while reducing scrap and improving output.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of injection molding setup experience
• Experience with robots, manufacturing software and processing systems
• Problem solving and data tracking abilities
• Ability to discern molding issues from machinery or process issues
• Ability to communicate changes clearly to managers and supervisors
• Mechanical and electrical inclination
• Attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machine issues and minor hydraulic/electrical problems
• Record production data for tracking purposes
• Develop corrective actions for machine/molding issues
• Monitor downtime, quality performance and machine efficiency
• Train personnel to improve technical capabilities
• Evaluate product quality on newly set-up machines
• Follow mold change procedures and perform color changes
• Communicate changes to the Manager or Supervisor
• Ensure safety and environmental procedures are followed
• Collaborate with assembly line operators to meet production needs
