Job summary

Silgan Dispensing Systems is seeking a Molding Technician in Missouri to manage output and efficiency in the assigned area. You will pull/set injection molds and prep molds for changeovers, perform color and order changes, and ensure containment of parts during production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of molding machines, setup, care and maintenance to produce quality parts.
• Understanding of plastics materials and hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily PM checklists on assigned machines.
• Visually inspect molded parts to ensure quality standards.
• Set up machines, heater boxes, robots, cooling systems, valve gate systems for efficiency.
• Perform color and order changes daily as scheduled.
• Prepare molds for changeover in injection molding machines.
• Follow daily molding schedule for restarts, shutdowns and changeovers.
• Maintain/clean auxiliary equipment for production machines.
• Operate forklifts as required.
• Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping in the area.
