Job summary

Amcor is seeking a skilled machine operator for Morgantown, PA to monitor and run multiple injection molding machines. You will start up and shut down molds, change molds, troubleshoot issues, and record production data to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of injection molding setup experience, robots, manufacturing software and processing systems experience required
• 2-3 years of manufacturing experience
• Problem solving and data recording skills
• Ability to read and interpret written information
• Teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment
• Safety and quality compliance

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machine issues, minor hydraulic and electrical problems
• Discern molding issues from machinery or process issues
• Record accurate production data for tracking
• Develop corrective actions for machine/molding issues
• Track downtime, quality performance and machine efficiency
• Train personnel to improve technical capabilities
• Evaluate the quality of product from newly set-up machines
• Monitor production process
• Respond to reported machine/mold issues
• Start-up and shut-down molding machines as necessary
• Follow mold change procedures
• Perform mold changes and color changes proficiently
• Communicate changes and important information to Manager or Supervisor
• Ensure all system performances are optimized and running safely
• Work with/relieve assembly line operators as needed
• Follow Environment, Health and Safety, ISO, Food Safety and cGMP policies
