Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a skilled technician to join our team in the Puerto Rico and USA manufacturing footprint. You will work on mold setup, machine setup, and process adjustments on injection molding lines.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree and hands-on experience with molds, equipment, and quality-driven production. You will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production to optimize processes and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Experience with mold setup, machine setup, or plastic injection molding operations.
Knowledge of plastic resin processing parameters and injection molding processes.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Perform mold installation, removal, and changeovers on plastic injection molding machines according to production schedules.
Set up and adjust machine process parameters to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
Execute machine, mold, and auxiliary equipment set-ups prior to production start-up.
Verify proper operation of molds, cooling systems, and production equipment.
Perform production start-ups and make process adjustments to meet quality specifications.
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot process deviations as needed.
Identify and resolve issues related to molds, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Perform material and color changeovers in accordance with production requirements.
Complete documentation related to mold changes, process parameters, and production activities.
Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production departments to optimize processes and minimize downtime.
Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process efficiency.
