Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in Millville, NJ is seeking a Process Technician to set up and operate Injection Molding machinery, maintain safe and efficient production, and ensure quality standards. You will train operators, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a plant manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least two years of setup mechanic experience, strong written and verbal communication, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years Set Up Mechanic related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and understand SOP and job packets.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Injection Molding machinery, tooling and equipment.
• Troubleshoot the machine, process and any quality issues.
• Maintain part quality expectations and production rates.
• Perform light machine and mold maintenance in area of responsibility.
• Perform line clearance duties during job change.
• Train operators on proper machine operations.
• In absence of operator may cover the position.
• Manage materials and auxiliary equipment essential for area of responsibility.
• Work, develop, and implement continuous improvement methodology.
• Communicate with internal departments and external customers.
