Job summary

Aerotek in Wilsonville, OR is hiring a Second Ops Technician to support secondary operations in an injection molding environment. You will set up tooling, install injection molds, and prep machines for production while troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints. Schedule options are daytime shifts on-site with comprehensive benefits and a contract-to-hire path.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in injection molding, metal molding, or related manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints or technical drawings is advantageous.
• Comfort working with tool boxes and power tools for mechanical adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Perform tooling and equipment set-ups, including installing injection molds and preparing machines for secondary operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including replacing cutting tools and adjusting machine settings.
• Monitor product quality and process productivity, taking corrective action as needed.
• Support maintenance systems and routine maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance and process engineering teams to resolve issues and improve equipment performance.
• Collect and enter data to support procedures, tests, and continuous improvement.
• Train coworkers on the proper use of equipment and automation systems.
• Follow safety practices and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform other related duties to support production.
