Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure injection molded parts meet customer specifications. You will audit, document, and train operators, ensuring in-process procedures are followed and non-conformances are addressed.

The role requires familiarity with quality practices, blueprint reading, and strong attention to detail, with a focus on supporting continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ Quality Control experience in a Lean manufacturing environment strongly desired.
• Injection Molding experience is a plus.
• Certified Auditor or some Auditor training is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements a plus.
• Must be able to manage Document Control workload with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Determine all new production jobs meet customer requirements, (i.e. material, color, size, additives, assemblies, packaging, etc.).
• Assure operators are trained and comply with in-process procedures, (i.e. trimming, assembling, packaging, etc.).
• Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final audit inspections of products during the manufacturing process. Makes recommendations to approve/reject samples based on conformance requirements.
• Verify any non-conforming material or products are corrected and documented.
• Maintain all samples for start-up and final product.
• Perform customer mandated testing and related documentation.
• Serves as liaison between internal PSIMP departments and customers
• Document all work instructions and quality control documentation. This position is responsible for all document control activities for the facility.
• Participate in creating a culture of cooperation, support, continual improvement and overall team success.
