Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an In-Process Quality Control Technician to perform inspections at defined checkpoints, verify workmanship and component integrity, and document results on the production floor. This role ensures products meet quality standards before advancing in the line.

You will work with the Quality Lead and Production teams to contain nonconforming product, support root-cause investigations, and verify corrective action effectiveness, while upholding ESD and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or quality training preferred.
• Previous quality inspection, manufacturing, electronics assembly, or production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, inspection criteria, product specifications, and quality procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations.
• Ability to document inspection results and communicate quality concerns clearly.
• Strong organization, reliability, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections at defined production checkpoints according to approved standards and criteria.
• Inspect electronic assemblies and products for workmanship defects and nonconformances.
• Identify and communicate defects and deviations before units advance to the next stage.
• Document inspection results, defect types, and quantities for tracking and analysis.
• Identify, tag, segregate, and quarantine nonconforming units per quality procedures.
• Escalate quality issues to the Quality Lead and Production Lead as needed.
• Support root cause investigations by providing inspection data and observations.
• Verify corrective action effectiveness by monitoring stations after actions.
