Job summary

The role requires reading drawings and specifications, using calipers, micrometers, and comparators, and documenting inspections accurately. Preferred candidates have an associate degree and ASQ certification and may lead inspection activities on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Experience leading inspection teams preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent preferred; ASQ cert is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process visual and dimensional inspections on injection molded parts against established standards.
• Measure dimensions with precision instruments to ensure specifications.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare a list of defects, coordinating with other departments to ensure specifications.
• Provide guidance and transfer inspection skills to injection molding operators.
• Report quality problems to the head of IMO and QC supervisor and follow up on containment and corrective actions.
