Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Process Technician to set up, operate, and maintain injection molding and related facility equipment in a clean manufacturing environment in Elgin, IL. You will ensure efficient production, quality, and equipment reliability while handling mold changeovers and forklift movements in a structured cell setting.

The role requires hands-on experience with Toyo and Arburg presses, blueprints interpretation, and a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

3+ years of injection molding experience.
Hands-on with setting up and operating Toyo/Arburg presses.
Experience in mold setup and changeover.
Preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Forklift operation to move molds and equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and production docs.
Knowledge of basic quality principles in plastics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Set up injection molding equipment according to production requirements.
Configure and prepare facility equipment to support injection molding operations.
Operate injection molding machinery within cells for safe and efficient production.
Perform mold changeovers to meet production schedules.
Move molds and equipment using forklifts.
Execute preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
Inspect molds, machines, and parts to verify quality.
Read blueprints and production docs to ensure correct setup.
Monitor operation and adjust to maintain process stability and quality.
Follow safety and quality procedures across all tasks.
