Job summary

Henpen Consultants is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician for a growing plastics manufacturer in the Greater Chicago Area. The role involves providing skilled mold setup and process adjustments to ensure high-quality components in a clean manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in injection molding, knowledge of scientific molding, and familiarity with robotics and EOAT.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on plastic injection molding setup, processing, and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of scientific molding principles and injection mold design.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to explain process adjustments.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and safety focus.
• Robotics, EOAT, and automation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold setups, teardowns, and machine startups and shutdowns.
• Troubleshoot molding processes to reduce scrap and downtime.
• Document process settings and implement approved adjustments.
• Set up auxiliary equipment and assist with robotics and automation.
• Partner with maintenance and engineering to resolve equipment issues.
• Train operators on procedures and support continuous improvement.
