Job summary

Aerotek in Kentucky is seeking a Process Technician for the 3rd shift to set up, optimize, and troubleshoot injection molding processes. The role focuses on maximizing machine uptime, reducing scrap, and ensuring consistent product quality on a 3rd shift schedule.

You will perform mold changes, program and troubleshoot with robots, document parameters, and participate in training to support continuous improvement. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years troubleshooting injection molding processes.
• Experience with mold set-ups and injection molding troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to read blueprints related to molds, tooling, and parts.

Responsibilities

• Maximize uptime on all machine centers and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Perform end-of-arm tooling changes on robots to support production and part changes.
• Set molds, start up, and troubleshoot injection molding processes for stable operations.
• Document process parameters accurately on setup documents and Master Setup Sheets.
• Verify process parameters and mold protection settings meet standards and adjust as needed.
• Make timely process adjustments to prevent part defects and maintain quality.
• Respond to quality and operator issues with effective resolutions.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing efficiencies through process optimization.
• Assist with mold changes to reduce downtime and increase uptime and throughput.
• Support training of Process Technicians and Operators on procedures and troubleshooting.
