Job summary

Acushnet Company in Massachusetts seeks an injection molding technician to set up, troubleshoot and maintain molding, blending and grinding processes, with preventive maintenance of molds, machines and automation.

The role requires 3–5 years' experience, own tools, strong communication and problem-solving skills, plus knowledge of mechanical/electronic controls and safe work practices. Eligible benefits include 401k, health plans, and onsite fitness.

Qualifications

• Should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and correct defects in injection cups and assemblies.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical production equipment and ability to adjust processes to specification.
• Knowledge of electronic controls and ability to install, repair and maintain injection molding and support equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex automation equipment and follow safe work practices (lock out/tag out).

Responsibilities

• Set up and troubleshoot injection molding, blending and grinding processes; perform preventive maintenance for molds, machines and related automation.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain injection mold machines, molds, and associated equipment including automation and support equipment (blenders, grinders, conveyors, hoists, hoppers).
• Maintain inventory for machine molds and related equipment; set up and process machines and related equipment.
• Maintain work records (work orders, PMs, materials and parts) in the computerized maintenance system.
