Job summary

Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA seeks a Maintenance Technician I to perform preventive maintenance on injection molding presses, CNC machines, and related equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime and uphold production goals.

Under supervision, install/relocate equipment, maintain records, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand written procedures, work instructions, and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and maintenance recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of the safe and proper use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on injection molding presses, CNC machines, and auxiliary equipment in accordance with established schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment as assigned.
• Support the installation, setup, and relocation of manufacturing equipment and related systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and report recurring issues or concerns to the Maintenance Engineer.
• Assist in maintaining maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, company policies, and departmental standards.
• Follow all molding and machining department procedures and work instructions.
• Support efficient use of equipment, materials, and labor resources.
• Understand and comply with Quality Management System requirements, including ISO 13485 standards.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely, including maintenance records and related data collection forms.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work safely at all times to prevent injury and protect company assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
