Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a plastics manufacturing facility in Elgin, IL. The role focuses on maintaining injection-molding equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The position requires 3 years of hydraulics/electronics/pneumatics experience, basic blueprints understanding, and own basic tools. Shift is 2 PM–11 PM, Monday–Friday, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Three years of experience in hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics.
Basic understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.
Experience with injection molding support equipment (Thermolators, Spru Pickers, robots, Grinders, etc.).
Lift up to 30 lbs.
Must have own basic tools.

Responsibilities

Insure the upkeep of the injection molding facility.
Maintain preventive maintenance programs on all molding and support equipment.
Keep and update accurate maintenance records on all equipment and facility.
Perform miscellaneous tasks as requested or directed.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Must be able to interact and communicate with all departments and machine manufactures services technicians.
Ensure a smooth running, well maintained facility.
Minimize downtime due to machine or equipment failure.
Provides clear and accurate records of maintenance activities performed.
