Job summary

Exploreelginarea is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on plastic injection molding equipment and facility systems in Elgin, IL. Requires 1-3 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Read schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose equipment issues.
• Support mold changeovers, production startups, and emergency equipment repairs as needed.
• Assist with facility maintenance, utility systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
