Location: Chattanooga, TN
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: 1:30pm – 10pm

Job Duties

  • Trim, sand, and flame injection molded parts for the paint process.
  • Load and unload parts according to the injection schedule and work instructions.
  • Visually inspect parts to ensure they meet customer criteria and work instruction standards.
  • Identify and polish out minor defects using a handheld electrical tool.
  • Maintain a neat, organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Track and record data for defects, scrap, and repaints.
  • Complete required paperwork to support traceability.
  • Maintain line speed by working at pace required.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Knowledge of rework and scrap procedures/maintain line speed.
  • Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
  • Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
  • 2 years machine operating or injection machine operating experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Injection Molding Machine Operator.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to lift up to lbs and stand for entire shift.
