Job summary

Amcor in Ames, IA is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facilities. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, maintaining PM programs, and supporting safe operation while coordinating with supervision and fellow maintenance staff to minimize downtime.

You will assist in equipment upgrades, manage spare parts, and document conditions and actions.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintaining equipment and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and quality defects. Maintenance certifications, education and training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for repairs and improvements on equipment and mold changes, and maintaining preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safe operational conditions of all production equipment.
• Improve equipment efficiency, reliability and utilities.
• Plan, repair, modify, install and adjust elements affecting productivity.
• Analyze and resolve equipment issues and maintain cleanliness after PMs.
• Keep tools in safe condition and organized; update PM programs as needed.
• Assist in stocking spare parts and updating parts catalog.
